Easter Season Daily Reading - Day 17

Every year on our jobs we get a performance evaluation for the work we done.  Our peers and managers give feedback where we need to improve.  Some of the feedback is positive and some negative.  The key is to take all of the feedback into account and use them to grow for the coming year.  This is true about our relationship with God.  Every year we should see growth in our relationship.  We need to ask others what do they see in us and ask God to reveal those area we are immature in. Now put it action your new way of growing for the year.

It's amazing when you fall asleep with your mind meditating on God. Why amazing? The peace of a nights rest and when you open your eyes you realize Hod has put a song in your spirit that will keep you moving through the day. Enjoy the song that was in my spirit and enjoy the beautiful day of God.

Easter Season Daily Readings - Day 13

We are always looking for God to bless us because we tell people we are favored by God.  When will we learn that people rather see God in us rather than us tell them that.  The blessing of the Lord is for all.  It's not a reach up and grab type blessing it's a blessing for those who believe God can and will do what is necessary in our lives.

Easter Season Daily Readings - Day 12

As we prepare for this new day, we need to remember that God does protect God's children.  The protection of God comes from those around us and mountains moved by the invisible hand of God.  Go out in this new day of life and stand tall in all you do.  Don't put yourself in unnecessary burden or dangerous situations expecting God to protect you.  Walk the day knowing God is with you and do what is right.

Easter Season Daily Reading - Catching up

Eastertide, Easter Season.  Well, Easter isn't over.  On the Christian calendar we are in the 50 days leading up to Pentecost.  Jesus made his appearance to the disciples over those days to prepare them for the comforter, the guide and the truth called the Holy Spirit.  Please take the time to read more at http://www.crivoice.org/cyeaster.html

Of course I'm far behind in posting the daily readings.  This time I will take it easy and will post readings for the morning and evening.  The daily readings come from the website above which includes more daily scripture for the entire Christian Year.  For now until the end of the year we'll read the Psalms and the Gospel.

Nothing like using Tax Day to catchup on some reading.  That would be me today.

Enjoy the day!

Daily Scripture Readings Lent Day 46 (Holy Saturday)

Lent Day 46 - Holy Saturday.  The Passover began on sundown the day before.  The people, the crowd and disciples rested from their labor.  However, the Roman guards were standing watch to make sure none of Jesus' disciples would come and take his body, this was the fear of the Jewish leaders.  So on this Holy Saturday take the time to reflect on these 46 total days including Sundays.  Use this day as the day of anticipation.  I believe Jesus' disciples were all wondering if what he said was true.  I believe they sat and waited anxiously.  Let us wait with that same anticipation.  The real question is Do you believe?

Thank you to our Muslim brothers and sisters who  joined us on our Lenten Journey and in return let us join them during the month of Ramadan at sundown on June 17, 2015 for 30 days.

Lent Day 45 - Good Friday.  The day of crucifixion. From the Noon to 3pm hour Jesus was on the cross slowly dying on the cross.  What is so good about it? Jesus gave more to humanity than we realized.  He continue to show love and compassion to the end.

Daily Scripture Readings Lent 2015 Day 44 (Holy Week)

Lent Day 44 (Holy Week) - As we continue with Jesus' journey.  We turn our attention to the last supper.  Jesus realized this was his final hours of spending time with his disciples.  The hint in the text is when he tells Judas go quickly and do what you must do. This is after they ate and Jesus washed their feet.  The reality of this event is that  no matter how close some people are to you there will be those who will set you up.  Instead of getting angry or made just tell them go quickly and do what you must.

Daily Scripture Readings Lent 2015 - Day 43 (Holy Week)

Lent Day 43 (Holy Week) - It's midweek as we remember Jesus' journey to the cross.  During this midweek, Jesus had some quiet time.  He went to a place to be refueled for the journey before him was not going to get any easier.  The Pharisees and Scribes have been looking for a way to kill him.  Imagine taking your last final journey and knowing what's in front of you will be brutal and nasty.  This is how life can treat us day to day.  We just need a place of peace to prepare ourselves for the days ahead of us.
