Daily Scripture Readings Lent 2015, Day 1 - Ash Wednesday

Today is the first day of Lent.  The 40 days leading up to Easter.  Easter is our time of celebration as Christians as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Did you know that Mardi Gras is rooted in Christianity as well.  Yes, we know people use it as a time of partying and drinking, but there is more to it.  Check out this site to learn more about this season of the Christian Year by visiting http://www.crivoice.org/cylent.html.

This site contains the daily readings for Lent which I will post on a daily basis.  I do hope and pray that you will reflect, fast, sacrifice and repent seriously on this 40 day journey.  These 40 days can be a spiritual renewal if you truly submit yourself to God.
